US-based Victory Packaging has begun operating under its new name, Smurfit Westrock Packaging Solutions.
The rebrand follows the merger of Smurfit Kappa and WestRock in July last year. The company now forms part of a vast network that is operating in 40 countries.
Despite the name change, the company will maintain its same teams across more than 60 solution centres in the US and Mexico.
The company provides a wide portfolio of packaging solutions, including corrugated and consumer packaging, as well as bag-in-box (BiB) packaging and point-of-sale displays.
It uses renewable and recyclable materials to create sustainable packaging solutions.
Smurfit Westrock Packaging Solutions president Scott MacDonald said: “Our new brand reflects our service-driven approach to solving business challenges, delivering value to our customers and signals our ability to tap into extensive capabilities and resources as part of one of the world’s largest paper and packaging companies.”
With a history spanning more than five decades, Victory Packaging has established itself in the North American market.
It has evolved from an independent entity to the distribution arm for two major packaging companies, offering a range of services such as engineering, supply chain management, kitting and assembly, automation, and logistics solutions.
Smurfit Westrock North America CEO Laurent Sellier said: “Smurfit Westrock Packaging Solutions is synergistic to [our] core operations in the US and Mexico.
“Aligning its name and identity to the global brand better defines its affiliation and positions the business for continued success as a part of the Smurfit Westrock family.”
Last November, Smurfit Westrock launched the EasySplit BiB design to comply with the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation.
The innovation enables easy separation of BiB products, improving the recycling process.
“Victory Packaging rebrands as Smurfit Westrock Packaging Solutions” was originally created and published by Packaging Gateway, a GlobalData owned brand.
