Radisson Hotel Group has announced the rebranding of prizeotel to Prize by Radisson, alongside new hotel signings in Central Europe.
The rebranding is expected to align the affordable high-design brand more closely with the group’s values and strategy to deliver the “Yes I Can!” guest experience.
It preserves the original identity of the brand while continuing to deliver a midscale lifestyle experience at the cost of an economy hotel.
The two new Prize by Radisson hotel signings are in Germany and Poland.
These developments are part of the brand’s expansion across various contract types, including leased, managed, and franchised hotels, providing tailored solutions for different markets.
Prize by Radisson managing director Connor Ryterski said: “The rebranding of prizeotel to Prize by Radisson marks a pivotal moment in our growth strategy.
“With this move, we are excited to expand the Prize by Radisson footprint and continue to deliver exceptional guest experiences to travellers across key central landmarks whilst demonstrating the support, commercial excellence and security of belonging to an international hotel chain to our owners.”
Set to open in 2026, Prize by Radisson, Gdansk City marks the brand’s entry into Poland.
Located 17km from Gdansk Airport, and approximately 2km from the main train station, this newly constructed 126-room property will feature a restaurant and bar on the ground floor.
Scheduled to open in 2027, Prize by Radisson, Berlin City will be a 315-room property forming part of a new mixed-use development in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg district.
The hotel targets DGNB Gold certification, reflecting the brand’s ESG commitment, PrizePromise.
This property will occupy around 60% of the land, with the top floor featuring the hotel lobby, bar, social area with co-working space, and breakfast restaurant, offering views of Berlin’s city centre.
Since its inception in Germany in 2009, Prize by Radisson experienced growth in 2022 with openings in Bonn, Vienna, and Münster.
The current Prize by Radisson portfolio includes 21 properties in operation and under development across Europe, with Prize by Radisson, Osnabrück City set to open next year.
This announcement follows the recent signing of Glenview Resort Kasauli, a member of Radisson Individuals, in Himachal Pradesh, India.
