The Israeli Air Force on Friday reported strikes on more than 200 targets in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon over the past 24 hours, targeting command centres and rocket launchers operated by Hamas and Hezbollah.
Palestinian and Lebanese reports spoke of civilian deaths.
Israeli troops were continuing “their limited, locally concentrated and targeted activities in southern Lebanon, in which they eliminated terrorists, traced weapons and destroyed terrorist infrastructure and launch ramps,” a report from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.
The IDF said that more 150 airstrikes had been flown in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon within 24 hours on Thursday. It added that the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militia had fired 90 projectiles towards Israel in the same period.
