The German drugstore chain Müller is planning to expand its activities in Spain.
The family-owned company is to open five to seven new locations in the country next year and the year after, both on the islands of Ibiza and Menorca and on the mainland, a spokeswoman said at the company’s headquarters in Ulm, Germany on Friday.
The retail group wants to invest around €25 million ($26.3 million) in the expansion in 2025 and 2026.
The company’s first Spanish branch was opened in Mallorca in 1993. Müller now operates a total of 15 outlets on the island and another on the mainland.
At the same time, the company is expanding its logistics in the country. For example, it has secured a 4,500-square-metre warehouse complex in Cheste in the Valencia region.
