JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – A mobile home was damaged during a fire in Jones County.
The fire occurred in the 200 block of Old Palestine Church Road in the Hebron community just before 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1.

Officials with the Jones County Fire Council said crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures.

The homeowner and her family were not home at the time of the fire. Officials said it appears the fire originated in a back bedroom. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
